The Relation between ICT Investments and Increasing Labor Productivity and Decreasing Cost per Service
| Arnold Commandeur University of Groningen, The Netherlands |
Abstract
The longitudinal research elaborated an ICT investment in a working process of medical doctors and their teams within the dutch social security. This research measured on T=0 the labor productivity of diverse actors within this working process and it calculated the cost of a specific service performed by the diverse actors within this working process. Then an ICT investment was implemented, making the working process more efficient and effective. After the introduction of the ICT investment, a measurement was performed on T=1,resulting in higher labor productivity of diverse actors within the working process and a lower cost of a service performed by the diverse actors within this working process. The Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (INAXIS)sponsored this research.
